thankful.

after a really rough few days, the bohanan/straley/lyles family are safe and sound and happy.  little whitson gave us a scare because he stopped breathing on thursday night.  we rushed him to the er where he was put on oxygen and given loads of antibiotics.  he was flown to the children's medical center in dallas where he had various tests run and monitored for 48 hours.  he was diagnosed with rhinovirus, a virus that causes the common cold in children and adults with fully developed immune systems.  however, with the infants, it can cause apnea, seizures, and high fevers.  by the grace of God, whit only had apnea- it could have been worse.  after 2 days in the hospital, whitson came home, happy and healthy.  continue praying for him as he's healing completely.  we are so thankful he is doing well and give god all the glory.

It's a lot harder to photo a newborn than I thought.  here are a few of the pics that we were able to get yesterday.  whit was a good boy!  i can tell he already loves getting his picture made.  just like a good lyles/whitson!  he misses his grammy and poppy, for sure!

Meeting Whit.

Today jj and tia flew to texas to visit with my sister, bro-in law, and my new nephew Whitson.  the flight was good.  jj was close to perfect, just had a few whiney moments during take-off and landing, but tia can't complain!  he did so well.  jeremy came and picked us up from the airport and you should have seen that dad's grin.  he missed his son so much.  jj was ecstatic!  when we got to the house, i finally got to meet my new little nephew, whitson jack straley.  later on this week we're gonna take some photos, but i took a few shots just for the heck of it.  he is beautiful and sooooo tiny!!!  keep checking in to see more photos:)

Photo Shoot!

I love my days off.  not that I don't love working, i do.  but my days off bring a lot of excitement to my life.  this morning i got to go out with fraukeuch and take some photos at icar- the clemson campus off of laurens road.  Tiffany taught me some great pointers and i think i came out of those few hours with at least a couple of really great shots!  I also learned that I really want a faster lens.  maybe a 50mm or 85.  Maybe one day!  Anyway, here are a few...

Auburn Interview Weekend!

I'm so proud of my husband.  he's interviewing this weekend at auburn university for a masters program in aba therapy.  hopefully i'll get some shots of the school (it's yucky here, though.  lots of rain).  here's a few of him getting ready for his meet and greet.  pray for him as he interviews tomorrow!
