new arrival!

Today i got the unexpected blessing to travel to newberry, south carolina to visit david, anna and titus.  this trip was a very special surprise because today was the day that the young lyles family found out the gender of their new little one!  Anna, Mom, Anna's parents, the proud da-da and i all gathered in the unusually large ultrasound room awaiting the news.  Carrie, the ultrasound technician, performed the ultrasound with such sweetness and proudly displayed the good news on the screen.  All of us had our suspicions, but everyone exclaimed, some of us cried, and all parties were elated to hear that for which we were waiting!  David gathered us  around and we prayed for and thanked the lord jesus for our new addition to the family: Eden Daye Lyles!

And just because i couldn't help it, i had to take some shots of my little nephew titus.  it was difficult to get him to slow down for a second so i could snap his photo, but i did it:) enjoy this cutie!

New Camera!

So after years and years of waiting, i finally got a DSLR.  Shawn said it was my anniversary present (we complete one year on the 20th of March).  Good enough!  Happy Anniversary to Jaclyn :)  My camera is a Canon Rebel t2i with an 18-135 lens.  i'm definitely not an amazing photographer, but have great hopes that i can improve over the years to come.  Me and Jericho had a mini-photo shoot just so i could give my new camera a spin.  I did shoot in manual (there ya go tiffany)!  I hope there are many more postings and pics to come---hopefully with the love of my life in them  (Shawn. not the dog.)  Thanks for reading!  We love you!

Yesterday we celebrated our 1st Valentine's Day as a married couple.  Sweet, romantic, mushy.. I know---Except for the fact that I left work early because I was sick.  On my way home I stopped at Walgreens and bought some sort of medicine that made me fall into a mini-coma for about 4 hours.  I was awoken by my sweet husband saying "where's my valentine??"  He got me some beautiful flowers and a delicious bag of coffee!  I cooked dinner for the two of us (pasta with mushroom and meat sauce, bruchetta, and snow peas).  Even amidst the sickness, we salvaged this day of love and really enjoyed our first Valentine's Day as Mr. and Mrs. Bohanan.  Marriage is wonderful and has its benefits: one of which, is having a Valentine this year and every year to come:)

ball ball ball!!!

Just wanted y'all to enjoy this photo of jericho.  I was reading this morning and he kept coming to the chair with his tennis ball wanting me to throw it.  He kept on picking it up and dropping it in my lap til i played with him.  he's a cutie. hope you all have a great valentine's day.  Me and shawn will be spending it at home because i've been under the weather for the past few days.  at least it's beautiful outside today!  that's enough to get anyone's spirits up.  have a good one!

Winter Jam with Chick-fil-A!

Yesterday, I got to participate in Winter Jam at the bilo Center.  chick-fil-a of simpsonville partnered with our surrounding chick-fil-As to sponsor winter jam.  i walked around with our beloved cows and took pictures and made emotional connections with all of our raving fans!  the cows also got their moment in the spotlight---to be in front of 16,000 people, dancing, having fun, and asking folks to eat more chicken!  We also got to meet various artists including newsong, michael tate, kj-52,  and chris sligh.  Enjoy the pic and eat more chicken!!
